Terms of Use

Acceptance of terms
By using MyShopCalc ("the site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Measurements and cut accuracy
This is the important one for a shop tool: calculators produce estimates, not guarantees.
All results are provided for convenience and estimation. Opening dimensions vary, material moves, and every saw has a kerf. Always verify your measurements against the actual opening with your own tape measure before cutting, and dry-fit before making final cuts. We are not liable for material ruined, time lost, or rework resulting from the use — or misuse — of any calculator on this site.
No professional advice
Content on this site — including formulas, reference tables, and FAQ answers — is general information, not professional engineering, structural, or safety advice. Where building codes, hinge datasheets, or manufacturer specifications apply, follow the governing standard and the manufacturer's instructions.
Intellectual property
The site's design, copy, and software are owned by MyShopCalc and protected by applicable law. You may use the calculators for personal and professional work, but you may not scrape, resell, or republish the site's content or tooling without permission.
Third-party ads and links
The site displays advertising from third-party networks and may link to external resources. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, practices, or products.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. While we aim for correct math, calculators can contain errors.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyShopCalc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including wasted material or lost time — arising from your use of the site.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site evolves. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
